Class Description: 
Spend 4th hour with Señora Tera in the kitchen! Each month, we will focus on a different Spanish speaking country. We will learn about the language and culture of this country through its food and crafts. For example: You might find yourself in the Dominican Republic after El día de los reyes magos preparing for La vieja Belén to bring gifts to children by decorating a Charamico tree and brewing Jengibre tea! Students will learn basic Spanish vocabulary and grammar through engaging, authentic experiences. By the end of the year, each student will have compiled their own bilingual cookbook/craftbook with all of the recipes and directions for the crafts we have made! 
Tera Girón has over 25 years experience teaching Spanish! She has earned numerous awards including the Bilingual teacher of the year award for the state of Colorado. She is raising two bilingual boys and looks forward to sharing the gift of a second language with her amazing FACE students!
