I'm a thrill seeker and I strive to excel in all I do. Growing up, I was an avid student both in homeschool and public school settings. Reading will always be my first love, but Science is a very close second. In 2020 I discovered Gameschooling and it has made a huge difference in how I homeschool. My three kiddos have way more fun than we used to, there are less fights, and they are connecting games we play with skills and knowledge they need. I can't wait to start this new adventure with everybody at FACE. See you in September!!

Beth will be teaching Advanced Gameschool, Pre-Reading Gameschool, Lit Goes to the Movies, and Young Ameritowne!

I am excited about the new year and looking forward to meeting new families.

I graduated in 2016 with an American Sign language Interpreting degree and haven’t looked back since. I have interpreted inside colleges, out in the community, and in the Deaf schools, where I started my career as a substitute Dorm Supervisor in the Deaf dorms, substitute Paraeducator (Teacher Assistant) in the Deaf school, becoming a full time Paraeducator in the Deaf School, and now full time ASL Interpreter / tutor. During my time at the deaf school, I learned so much and was able to just soak up the language and culture. And now I am excited to share this with you. I love having fun; and being able to be creative and adaptive to your skill level is something I am looking forward to. If you put in your best effort, you will see yourself improve every day!

I’m currently a full-time homeschooling mama, but am also proud to be a serial entrepreneur and small business owner, hairdresser, former dance instructor, and former X-ray/CT technologist. As you can probably tell, when I have an interest in something, I go all in and have to satisfy my craving for that knowledge. My main goal when learning (and/or educating others) is to ensure it is fun and rewarding. I love all forms of art and science (what my degree is in), and I'm looking forward to incorporating both of those into my classes. Our family began our homeschooling journey in 2017 in Texas where I taught various classes at our co-op. 5 years and 2 states later, we found ourselves at FACE and have enjoyed it so much I decided to teach here as well!
Can’t wait to meet you all soon!

Mrs. Buck is so excited to be part of FACE this year. She is a mother of 4, Step -mother to 6, and Grandmother to 9. Her first career was teaching preschool for 8 years and being a director for 3. After having her own children, however, she focused her teaching within her church where her skills grew to include children's choir and choreography. She is an avid journal writer and finished her higher education while seeking a graduate degree in organizational change.
Sue married Steve Buck during the Covid pandemic. Both were widowed and fell in love while walking every day at a good social distance. Don't worry, they hug now.

Hi, my name is Dani. I have been married for 10 years and we are blessed with three incredible sons. I am a Colorado native. During my middle school years, I was homeschooled, and my mom chose FACE as our umbrella school. So when my husband and I made the decision to homeschool our own children, it was an obvious choice for us to become a part of FACE also. We have been homeschooling since our oldest was in kindergarten in 2019. I am excited to begin teaching this year and look forward to seeing everyone!

Hi my name is Scott Pedersen and I run the Karate program at F.A.C.E..
I started my own journey in the martial arts during elementary school, with the study of Judo. Since those beginning days, training has taken me as far away as Japan. I have accumulated over 30 years of experience in several different martial arts styles.
In 1993 I got my first opportunity to teach when I began instructing a single group class, once a week, to help my instructor at his school. I took on more and more classes until, in 1999, I became a full time school operator myself, living and breathing the martial arts around 60 hours each week.
I love to teach and strive, always, to deliver quality instruction and depth of material in an understandable way. I care about, and am lucky to personally know, each and every one of my students. Over the years I’ve been honored to have had students travel (on a recurring basis) from as far away as Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Canyon City just to train with me. I’ve worked with and helped a very wide spectrum of people (from professional athlete competitors to people with disabilities and students ranging in ages from three years old to people over eighty-five).
